Resilient Food Systems
To help transform food systems in African countries, ICLEI Africa is supporting Conservation International with the Resilient Food System (RFS) project, which is an Integrated Approach Pilot, with focus on bringing transformational change within African food systems. This project is being implemented in 12 selected Sub-Saharan African countries (Senegal, Burundi, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria, Eswatini, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Uganda) faced with detrimental impacts of environmental degradation resulting from unsustainable agricultural practices. The project aims to develop a set of resilience indicators that will support countries on a local and national level in developing more resilient food systems.
